Happy New Year
Happy New Year to all! Hope the new year is finding you well. Can’t complain too much around here. I took the Chartered Financial Analyst test on December 3rd and didn’t do too well. It was a bit overwhelming and I misjudged how much work it would take. I plan to sign up and retake it again (if they’ll let me.)
Spent Thanksgiving in Nashville and Memphis, Tn. I got to see Graceland finally. We actually had a good time there as well as visiting Mike’s grandparents from both sides. Not much else happened out there. Christmas was spent locally, with Christmas Eve at Dad and Carol’s in Windsor. We had a great Christmas from everyone. Thanks again!!
Our birthdays have come and gone and now we’re both 28. Hard to believe 30 is just around the corner. I feel good and bad about it. I can’t complain about my life as it has passed but at the same time it seems as if it’s passing by at warp speed. Mike, on the other hand, isn’t concerned about it one way or the other. My mom and little brother surprised me for my birthday by driving up from San Diego. It was unbelievable to see them when I had absolutely no clue they were coming. We really enjoyed their visit! We went shopping and then wine tasting with Dad and Carol in Napa. We are now members of the Wine of the Month club at V. Sattui winery in St. Helena. It’s amazing what one will agree to when you’ve had a few glasses of wine.
Mike is at Lake Havasu, Az. as we speak, preparing for the Everstart tournament that starts next Wednesday (02/01/06) He’ll fish 2 days and has to be in the top 20 to fish Friday, and then the top 10 from there go on to fish on Saturday for the top money prizes. I’m flying to San Diego to visit with my family on Wednesday and then we’ll drive to the lake on Saturday so that my family can see how a tournament weigh-in goes and hopefully be cheering Mike on. It’s about a 3.5 hour drive. Keep your fingers crossed for him!! He did manage to sell both of the boats he won last year so he now has proper financing for these tournaments this year. Our little Mikee is up and coming …. Watch out bass fishermen every where!
Gonna go to bed now. Been fighting a nasty little cold and the Nyquil is finally kicking in. Give us a holler soon!
