Reagan went on her first road trip to Windsor to see Nonna and Papa and the rest of the family. She did great! She slept all the way there and back (2.5 hour drive each way) On Friday night she met Great-Nonno Dino. On Saturday we went shopping and Nonna bought her several new outfits. That night she met Uncle Ryan, Auntie Lauren, Great-Uncle Pete, Great-Aunt Amy and cousins Kylie and Kelsey. Uncle Ryan got to feed her a bottle and change her dirty diaper (his first) It was quite comical with Daddy coaching him the whole way. On Sunday we went to lunch and then met Nonna’s horse, Snoopy. On Monday we came home.
Everyone loved Reagan and she had a great time with them. She was quite content with her grandparents. She is getting stronger every day, holding her head higher for longer periods of time. When on her tummy, she pushes with her legs and elbows. Daddy thinks she’ll be crawling before too long.
Reagan met Great-Nana Tuck on Tuesday. Nana flew in to Sacramento Airport and came to stay with us for the night. Reagan was really good for us that day and night. We went to lunch and had sushi and she slept in the restaurant the whole time. We then went furniture shopping and bought Mommy a glider (courtesy of Papa Tuck) Tomorrow we’re heading to Windsor to see Nonna and Papa as they haven’t seen Reagan since she was born 4 weeks ago.
Reagan met her Uncle Mike, Aunt Gaile and cousin Keira this weekend. The Creans drove up from San Diego to meet the newest family member. We got lots of pictures of the girls together. It was a great time with everyone and we are so appreciative of all the stuff they did for us! Keira loved her cousin, she kept kissing and hugging the ‘bebe’
Reagan took her first bottle yesterday (with breast milk of course.) Daddy did so well feeding and burping her. We were confident enough to let Mommy go get a pedicure today. I was gone for a couple hours and Reagan was a bit fussy for Dad but he did a great job with her. We’re getting her ready for my return to work on June 9th.
She now weighs 8 lbs 6.5 oz and is 22 inches long! She eats like crazy now so we’re not surprised she’s surpassed her expected growth. She is more alert now, sometimes will be awake for a few hours. She is sleeping at night for 3-4 hour stretches, much to mom’s delight. Grandma and Grandpa have been here since Saturday and they are enjoying Reagan as much as is she enjoying them. Grandpa has lots of pictures on his new camera that we will upload Saturday. Reagan doesn’t go back until July for her two month check up.
I took the opportunity to drop in on a free lactation consultation today to discuss breastfeeding issues. While there we weighed Miss Reagan and she is now 7 lbs 8 oz! She gained 9 oz in two days. She is definitely my little chow horse!
In other news, Alex gave birth to Joseph Anthony yesterday afternoon. The little guy came in at 7 lbs 2 oz.
