Grandma left today to go home. We had a great visit with her this week. We went to the famous Gilroy Garlic Festival yesterday but only stayed for an hour and half as it was too hot for Reagan and Grandma … and mom. We went shopping at the outlet and had dinner. We then had to pick daddy up from the airport. Reagan was so good. She slept most of the way there and back. She was awake when we got Daddy so he got to see her. He spent the day with her today, getting to see all the new things she does. She looks around at everything and is very good at focusing on objects. Her smiles just light up the room. She is in her crib in her room tonight … for the first time! We’ll let you know how it goes.

Miss Reagan had her 3 month birthday yesterday! She’s big compared to when she was born. I tried to measure her and she’s around 24 inches now and into 6 month clothes. She loves to talk to people and her toys. She’s very alert and focuses on people and things that are several feet away. She has a wonderful smile and is so happy when she first wakes up. She slept from 9pm until 6 am this morning!! Mommy was soooo happy to get a good night’s sleep. We’re moving her to her own room tonight. Mom is a little sad but she’s a big girl now so she needs to sleep in her own room.

From Grandma Pat: Reagan and I had a really good day. We went for a walk around the block and she loved being ouside. Reagan and I went to the grocery store to get all of the ingredients for Mom’s and my dinners. Reagan was so good. She talked to herself and whatever she was looking at for quite a while. She fell asleep just before we finished and slept until after we got home.

Nana Sherrill left yesterday morning after spending 5 days watching Reagan while Mom was at work. They had a great time bonding with each other. Reagan did great with being alone with Nana each day. She also went to a baby-sitter’s house for the first time and she did wonderfully! Grandma Pat will be here on Sunday to take her shift. It’ll be interesting for her to see how much Reagan has grown!

We had a fun 4th of July as some friends from Sonoma County came to visit. Our friends Ken and Rhonda Martin came with 10 month old Piper.
Newlyweds Dan and Jessica Allen came later that day. Ken and Mike played gold, while Mary and Rhonda played with the babies and went to lunch. We then BBQ’d and talked for a while. It was a really sweet time with everyone.
Mike left the 6th to drive to Nashville with his boat. He made it mid-day on the 8th, after stopping in Memphis to say hi to his grandparents. Mary and Reagan flew in on the 8th. Reagan was such a great traveler! We received so many positive comments about her being such a good traveler!! While there she met her cousins Jackson, Brenden and Kyla. The kids just loved her although she wasn’t able to really acknowledge them. She also met the aunts and uncles as well. We went to the lake house on Tims Ford Lake in Winchester, Tn. Mary and Mike rode the wave runners (Mary’s first time.) Everyone had fun taking care of Reagan.
Mary and Mike also went house hunting and feel we have narrowed the areas we’re interested in. We just need to work out the financing as in this market, we’re not able to sell the Ca house as we are upside down on it. We still plan on moving the Nashville in October, just in time for Mike’s championship in Branson, MO in November. Mary told her work and has been watching for a position in the Nashville claims office to open so she can transfer.
Nana Sherrill came out with Mary and Reagan to watch Reagan while Dad is in South Carolina. They have been having a great time together, getting to know one another. Grandma Pat comes next week!<

We had a great trip to Tennessee last week! Dad drove there while Mom and Reagan flew by themselves there. Reagan is a great traveler! We received so many compliments from people on the plane about how good she was. Nana came back with us and it was nice to have extra hands to hold her. Reagan was smiling and laughing a lot (when she was awake!)
Reagan met her TN cousins and seemed to enjoy every one. She was well loved and everyone seemed to enjoy as well. We went house hunting and then to the lake house. There were thunderstorms and lighting bugs. Reagan did great the whole time.
Nana is here this week to watch her while Mom works and Dad fishes. They seem to be having fun getting to know one another. Grandma Pat will be here next week to watch Reagan and then Dad will come home for a couple weeks. In less than one month, Reagan and Mom will be heading to San Diego for cousin Keira’s 2nd birthday celebration and we get to meet little Joseph Conti. Then we’re off to South Carolina for Dad’s tournament!

Hoping everyone had a great 4th of July! We sure did with friends coming to visit. The Martins brought 10.5 month old Piper who was just adorable and excited to play. The Allens brought their dog, Harvey. We had a wonderful time with everyone!
Dad leaves today for Nashville with Mom and Reagan flying on Tuesday. It’ll be an interesting flight!
