Social Butterfly

December 29th, 2008 by Mary

Reagan is getting stronger and more active everyday. She waves Hi and Bye when you wave at her. In the last couple weeks she’d pull her self up into a sitting position and then standing position if you hold your fingers out for her to grab on to. Last night she started to pull her self up into a standing position from a sitting position by grabbing on to a bin I had in the room. She gets so proud of herself when she does it too. She still can’t get into a sitting position from lying down though but she will soon, we’re sure of it.

She is also giving kisses! It started on Saturday night at our friend’s house when their two-year old was sitting on the floor with Reagan and she would lean in to Reagan to kiss her. Reagan started leaning in to kiss Aubree and then would do it to her stuffed animals and then today, Daddy said she’s kissing him.

Merry Christmas everyone!

December 26th, 2008 by Mary

We were thinking of everyone yesterday and hoping you all had a great holiday. We sure did! We drove to Windsor to spend Christmas with Nonna, Papa and family. Reagan is so spoiled by all of her grandparents!! She got all kinds of clothes, toys and books. She loves all of her toys. She got a singing purse, singing book, musical piano, baby laptop, ball popper, and I could go on and on. On Christmas day we went to Uncle Pete and Aunt Amy’s for delicious food and great company. Reagan met someone her age and size! Evan was born 13 days before Reagan and they played with each other as well as the older kids. She seemed to really enjoy herself. So much so that Mom and Dad are considering putting her in daycare to socialize.

Off the Sauce

December 23rd, 2008 by Mary

Mom and Dad’s friends, Megan and Robbie Rice, came to visit CA from Indiana this week and we got to hang out with them last night. Reagan just loved Robbie, she would smile and act coy for him. She kept reaching for him and if he tilt his head, she’d tilt hers for him. It was quite cute.

As some of you already know, Mom decided to quit breastfeeding. We did great for 8 months but it’s getting to be quite a bit of work and Reagan seems to like the bottle better. We’ll supplement with formula until she’s a year old and then we can give her milk. Mom’s a little bummed but also relieved to have her body back.

Tomorrow we’re heading to Windsor to see Nonna and Papa and the rest of the family for Christmas. We’ll be sure to get a lot of great pictures!

Weaning

December 19th, 2008 by Mary

We started supplementing Reagan’s breast milk with some formula yesterday as Mommy’s supply has dropped. She actually likes it seems. She also slept very hard during nap time, according to her Daddy. She has slept through the night for the past three nights, finger’s crossed it stays that way.

Reagan met Santa today!

December 12th, 2008 by Mary

She did very well and wasn’t scared. She wouldn’t smile either though. Her new facial expression is to srunch up her face/wrinkle her nose. It’s quite comical. We caught it on camera.

Nana and Parker have spent the last few days with Reagan, spoiling everyone. We had a great time and Reagan seemed to enjoy the company.

Catching up on some Zs

December 10th, 2008 by Mary

Reagan has slept through the night the past couple nights. Mom is trying to not give in to her when she fusses. She’s eating more solids now, at least twice a day. She likes squash, peas, green beans, peaches and her cereal. It’s been fun to let her try new things. She loves to blow raspberries and talk with her tongue out of her mouth. She’s getting closer to saying ‘hi’ and ‘mama.’ She had fun watching us decorate the Christmas tree last. She also hung up (with help) her first ornament from Nonna and Papa. Pictures to be posted later.

Nana and Parker arrive today for a few days of fun. We’re going up to Nevada City tonight to the Victorian Christmas festival they host. Tomorrow Reagan gets to meet Santa!
