We met in November 2000 at the Grand National Rodeo in San Francisco. We talked frequently on the phone for the next few months and began dating at the end of February, 2001.

Mary graduated from Sonoma State University in May 2001 and continued her job as a Claim Service Adjuster with Allstate Insurance, where she currently works today. Mike worked for his father at Fire Protection Unlimited as a Field Operations Manager until he left in April 2006 to pursue his fisfhing career full time.
We became engaged at Christmas 2001 in San Diego. We moved to Sacramento in July 2002 when Mary’s job relocated us there. We bought our first house in Sacramento and are currently living in Antelope, CA.

We were married in South Lake Tahoe on September 26, 2003. We chose this destination because we had so many friends and family traveling to be with us, we figured we could turn it into a destination wedding. It turned out very beautiful!

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Chart House in Stateline, NV. (a very nice place to eat, I might add.) The ceremony was Friday at 4pm at the Tahoe Community Church in Stateline, NV. Yep, we were married in Nevada! It was a beautiful and short ceremony.

We had our reception at Tep’s Villa Roma in South Lake Tahoe. We could not have asked for a better place. The food, atmosphere, DJ, etc. were great. We had such a memorable time at our wedding and have heard a many compliments about it.

We honeymooned in Las Vegas, NV. for a few days. We hope to take a cruise sometime in the future for a “real” honeymoon.
